FESCO launches Vladivostok-Ulyanovsk container train

The FESCO Transportation Group (FESCO) has launched a regular container train from Vladivostok to Ulyanovsk in Russia.

The FESCO Volga Shuttle will depart once every 10 days from Commercial Port Vladivostok and arrive at railway station Ulyanovsk-3. Transit time will take around 11 days.

The launch of this container train aims to improve the quality of customer service from the transportation group in the Volga region and provides the possibility to deliver goods “to door” to such as cities as Saransk, Tolyatti, Samara, Cheboksary, Kazan, Penza and Naberezhnye Chelny.

The first shuttle loaded with 60 forty-foot containers arrived in Ulyanovsk on 22 January 2022.

This marks the eighth train from Vladivostok to cities in Russia available to customers of the group.

FESCO also recently launched a regular train from St. Petersburg to Moscow.

The FESCO Neva – Moscow Shuttle departs once a week from one of the marine terminals at the Port of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region and will arrive at the Beliy Rast station in Moscow. The journey is said to take around 8 hours and trains will run along the mainline within the framework of the JSC “Russian Railway” formation plan.
