Andrea Bucella joined the Venice Port Authority in 2010. A logistics expert with a background in communications, after taking a PhD he cut his teeth with a stint as researcher at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice.
He works in Port Operations, where his daily job is bridging the gap between port operators and public agencies, smoothing day-to-day operations and fostering new business and services at the port.
Currently, he is focusing on the development of Ro-Ro traffic and on the further digitalisation of customs procedures at the Port of Venice.
He took an MBA from the University of Turin SAA School of Management, and, is a member of the European Sea Ports Organisation’s Trade facilitation, Customs and Security Committee.
